My Comic Strip.

Comic strips are a clever way of telling stories that combine pictures and a small number of sentences.

Our WALT was to Come up with ways to use our Chromebooks appropriately .

To succeed in making this we had to: 

1.  Use at least 4 ideas of ways to use our devices Appropriately

2. each idea must have a picture representing what we were saying.

3. 

And we had to use speech bubbles to explain what to do and what not to do.

Shiny, bright.

Looking, watching, star gazing.

Cluster, constellation, stars, Group.

Eating, cooking, preparing.

What is Matariki.


Matariki is the cluster of stars the Pleiades , they rise in winter and maori celebrate as a new year. In maori Matariki means ¨eyes of God¨ or ¨little eyes¨. According to maori legend , when Ranginui and Papatuanuku were separated Tawhirimatea took his eyes out and threw them into the sky. 

Matariki was a time of celebrating death and new life. In the 21st century Matariki became popular again and people celebrate it with kites, hot air balloons, and fireworks. The upcoming dates of Matariki are the 15th of June and in 2019 it is to be celebrated on the 10th of June.

“Mum!” He yelled again. “Mum can I go to the space camp this weekend?” “It only costs $195 dollars.” Mum said “no”. Jacob replied “please mum?” “Alright” she gave in. “Get ready to go.”

The next day the bus came and he was ready for a once in a lifetime experience. He arrived at the space camp and he was so excited. He ran inside and bumped into another boy. He introduced himself to him and they walked to base camp. They got introduced to their instructor. After that they unpacked their bags and chilled out for the rest of the day, Excited for the next day of camp.

Not all bullies are big. Bullying is when someone acts purposefully in a mean way. It can be physical and it can be emotional. Bullies bully because they want attention, and think they are cool. Some bullies you can’t see, these are called cyber-bullies. Cyber-bullies are people who bully online.

Experts believe that 75% of children in the United States have been bullied at one point in time. Being bullied sometimes makes the person being bullied bully someone else.

This Week In Kakapo
